Case Study
Education Scotland

Following the merger of HM Inspectorate of Education, and Learning & Teaching Scotland, the newly formed Education Scotland faced considerable challenges in setting the future direction of the organisation and rapidly bringing together the new Executive Team.

Firefly developed and delivered a year-long development programme comprising six months of team-level work and six months of one-to-one Executive Coaching.

Team development days focussed on core themes, and used a blend of approaches including group dynamics, relationship systems intelligence work and work on roles and cross-organisational communication.  One-to-one coaching relationships covered leadership legacy, stakeholder engagement, work-life balance and leading from a creative core rather than reactive tendencies.

The development programme acted as the foundation for organisational transformation, and increased Education Scotland's speed to effective delivery of an ambitious educational change agenda.
