August is an exciting month for Firefly as we open our second UK office! With a handful of our core team members based in Aberdeen, we wanted to create a space where everyone could come together and allow for more collaborative work - particularly ahead of the launch of our Online Learning Library, one of our biggest Firefly projects to date.

The new office space, based in Neospace on Riverside Drive, will allow us to collaborate more effectively and ensure we continue to deliver great work for our clients alongside building a strong team culture.
The Firefly Team.
At Firefly, we’re lucky to work with collaborative partners and freelancers from all over the world. While remote work has been fantastic for scaling our team and growing the business, we also enjoy coming together for in-person meetings and team days.
Over the years we’ve experimented with alternative working patterns at Firefly and found that understanding what works for each team member is essential for getting the best results that drive the business forward. We make sure to schedule meetings in advance, consider different time zones and experiment with alternate communication methods outside of email and meetings.
By mixing remote work, flexible schedules, and occasional in-person get-togethers, we enjoy the best of both worlds. We’ve also found that by giving our team the flexibility to work as they please, they are happier and more productive.
The Firefly Group.

We design programmes that deliver lasting impact, all enriched with Firefly’s unique blend of magic and soul-based, people-centric leadership.
The Firefly Group in Aberdeen.
And it’s this very ethos behind the opening of the new Hub in Aberdeen! From a business perspective, this naturally opens up a new geographic region for us and, having already worked on a global scale, the lure of a “home base” for some of the core team was a big draw.
Kirsty Maynor, CEO of Firefly, says: “The balance between remote working and in-person connection is a fine one and I'm excited to see what more becomes possible from giving Firefly a physical home in the fantastic offices offered by Neospace.”
Kirsty continues: “I'm excited to be opening our second UK office base, bringing us closer to organisations based in the North of Scotland and giving a hub for the Firefly team who are based there to be able to collaborate and work more effectively together. We can't wait to see what we'll achieve with this new office and how it will help us grow and strengthen our connections”.
